The video shows the 3D schematic reconstruction of a generalized animal cell. We have built the cells on the basis of information we have found in different books and published papers. In this kind of cell, the genetic information can be found in DNA molecules located in complex organelles called chromosomes. They are found in the nucleus, which is separated from the other cell parts by the nuclear membrane. In addition to the nucleus, the eukaryotic cell contains different compartments with specialized functions. This compartment organization allows these cells to carry out simultaneously different complex metabolic reactions because the different organelles can maintain the required conditions they need.
