The seven minutes video podcast gives a first insight in the Marine Mammals Project, its targets and skills. In short Interviews, some of the project members – experts for marine mammals science and research as well as experts for education and educational research – explain the steps how teachers and students are introduced to the exciting world of science and different research topics. Some examples are shown, like Workshops, hands-on experiments and a wide range of teaching materials. The video also visualizes the role of non-school learning locations and scientific experts from research institutes within the project. Marine mammals like whales, porpoises and seals were chosen as key animals, as ambassadors for the ocean – which is also illustrated with some very attractive film sequences in this video podcast.
